We became manufacturers of our own kitchen cabinets

to ensure quality and efficient delivery

Manufacturing our joinery in-house at our Christchurch factory allows us to closely monitor quality, work within our agreed timeframes and reduce costs to our clients.
After installing kitchens for years, Glen realised that it just didn't make sense for someone else to manufacture the kitchen cabinets, pack up the components and freight them to him to unpack and install.

So, he took out a five-year lease on a commercial building and set up his own kitchen joinery factory. Just 13 months later he had to move to bigger premises.

Today, our custom cabinet makers manufacture everything on-site.

Four benefits of in-house manufacturing

01

Lower costs
By manufacturing in-house we remove the extra freight costs of transferring cabinetry from off-site to us and then on to you. This means those costs are no longer passed on to our customers.

02

Reduced risk of damage
Because our cabinets are only moved from our factory to your home, there's less risk of them being damaged in transit and less possibility of your installation being delayed.

03

Better quality control
Making our cabinetry in-house allows us to monitor each stage and part of the construction for quality standards. Any of our team can inspect the work at any time. In fact, our customers can even visit the factory by arrangement to view the work themselves.

04

Warranty
Manufacturing on-site allows us to offer you a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty on all cabinetry.
Plus our in-house manufacturing means that when you visit our Christchurch showroom, what you see on the floor is exactly what you will get when you choose Kitchen Concepts to manufacture your new kitchen or undertake kitchen renovations.
